Get in to: Zebrahead

Now, the odds are, you'll either know this band muchly or not at all? Very few people seem to 'vaguely know them', unless maybe it's for 'that stupid Playmate of the Year song' (which is SO not stupid or anything, its FUN!).
Anyway, thought they deserved a nice early plug, hehe. I got into Zebrahead a while back, after Ste Mike n Ed went to see them alongside Reel Big Fish and some other band.... Anyway, they all came back really 'into' this cool new band, not really being something we'd heard before. I think it was Skel who bought the MFZB album which was rapidly copied and distrbuted through our group. This basically was the foundation of my addiction. MFZB is an AMAZING album. It was rapidly catchy songs (Over the Edge) nice and ANGRY songs (Alone) and the emotional side (Blur's "Fuck you i don't even know why i like you" being my personal fav, but there's of course also 'Dear You (Far Away)'). Fyi for any picky people, im AWARE anger is an emotion, heh, but, its just, itsd the music to BE angry too. Which is different. Bitch.
So, back to the band. MFZB is actually their 4th album, and is by far the most mature and, well, fantastimatic? Sadly, after releaseing a 5th album the lead singer decided tp quit the band and move on to more 'mature' things in what as far as i know has been a rather unsucessful new band who's name i cant even be bothered to look up.
the first song i'm gonna give you to taste the band has already been mentioned above, it's the ever bouncy....

Now the other thing about Zebrahead is they like their fans. It's how they thrive (and i use the current sense, because, realising i didnt say above, they DIDNT break up. They've got a new lead singer, have new material and have been toruing again, and will hopefully have a new album out soon). This basically means there are lots of various demo/acoustic/live tracks to be found all over the show on their 'fan club cd' and special singles and stuff. My personal favourite from the lovely collection iv gathered, is taken from the above noted MFZB Fanclub cd. It's a live version of I'm Money. Now, it's not the best quality, being live rap metal, however it really is full of their spirit. About 3/4 minutes in, there's a substaional break in the song where they get two fans up on the stage. Listen to find uot what happens! I LOVE it!
