Cover Wednesdays eh? *looks suspicious*

Hey, ummm, yea this was done monday night for wednesday but, i meesed up on a song so had to take it down, and, anyway....the point is it's late up caus iv been insanely busy and only just got back from work.

Well, see, this is just another random idea, having a day for covers, because i seem to get a lot. I just really like cover songs. You'll also probably later find a fair few iv swiped from Copy, Right? which is a really good mp3 blog, purely providing lots of random cover songs, some good, some not quite so good :P
Anyway, onto the days songs...

I decided to start this cover malarky off with a pair of very 'uncool' songs covered in such a manor that even though its kind of taking the piss its turning them into respectable kinda rock? Sort of. Anyway....
So, the first song is my second attempt at using Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. This time i might actually get them, haha. Now owning four albums, shouldn't be too hard... Basically, these guys are awesome, and do lovely bouncy hyper punk-pop-rock kinda covers of classic songs. And, erm, i would add more but, this parts being typed after a 12 hour day at work and i need to go to bed soon.... Heh!

# I Believe i Can Fly - Me First and the Gimme Gimmes

The second is probably much more well known to those of you reading this, but, i felt it was of a similar vain, and i cant help but like this song. It was actually released on the album Waste of MFZB which i THOUGHT was still available but seems to have dissapeared off the Zebrahead webstore. Don't judge Zebrahead on this song though... They do much more serious stuff, which i'll provide you with at a later date :P

Acoustic Mondays

Well, as mentioned in the test post (which im sure recived somewhere around a MILLION hits :P) Iv decided to try and have theme days. Im hoping to be able to upload a couple of songs for your listening pleasure per post, and basically, we'll see how everything works out.

Now, one of the best things about acoustic performances is how unique they usually are. One of my favourite places to hear live acoustic performances has to be Jo Whiley's live lounge which has had some utterly fantastic one-off performaces. Sadly most of these proceed to sit around in the bbc vaults of time and are therefore unavaiable for out listening pleasure. In saying this i do believe one of the newer bbc radio stations does do an archive show exactly FOR this, but, i dont have DAB or the memory capable of finding such? Ha!
Anyway, to start everything off i thought i'd one of my favourite performaces, despite never actually hearing it 'live'.

# Girl From Mars (acoustic) - Ash

For the second track of today, i've decided to share with you an acoustic version of one of my favourite songs. I got into The Starting Line a long while back, i'm gonna guess it was PureVolume or somewhere like that which led me to being able to blag a few of their tracks. Anyway, The Best of Me has been on my "all time fav's" list for a while now, but it wasnt until recently, after id FINALLY got round to buying the album, that random web browsing led me to finding this wonderful acoustic version. It really is a lovely little song, and if you don't know it, you should definately check it out. As far as i'm aware this is unreleased, but, i could be wrong. If anyone knows of a single or w/e it's on, please tell me! I'd rather like to know =)

Just another mp3 blog?

Ok, so welcome to my new mp3 blog. Heh. I'm sure most of you were aware it would only be a matter of time before i decided to take a stab at this :P Knowing my luck it'll all go horribly wrong....
Anyway, the idea here is a rather obvious one. I want to share good music with good people. There you go, take bows everyone. This isn't some "free download centre" but a chance to try and share some damn good music, by introducing new bands and new songs to people.
Now, as it stands, iv decided to try and work things like this. I'll post on here about 4 times a week, probably mondays, wednesdays, fridays and sundays, and id like each day to have a theme. Anyway. I shouldn't ramble here because i do it enough everywhere.
This post is just a test post, and assuming all goes well you'll find the first proper entry later on today, opening up the wonderful 'acoustic monday' :P Haha!
